Need Equipment?
From time to time, all companies need to replace aging but still-functional laboratory and office equipment. Our schools are always in need of laboratory equipment, supplies, consumables, storage units, and office equipment.
“Great Giveaway” For Re-Purposing Excess Equipment and Consumables
The Southern CA Biotechnology Center at Miramar College (SCBC) will be happy to collect used equipment and consumable supplies for use by regional community colleges and high schools. Simply call the SCBC Director, Dr. Sandra Slivka at 619-388-7490 or e-mail sslivka@sdccd.edu. A prompt pick-up will be arranged!
The SCBC collects and stores materials and makes an effort to ‘match’ school needs with the generous donations of equipment and supplies received. After the ‘match’ process is complete, a first come-first served “Great Giveaway” is held. At the last event, over 30 community colleges, high schools and education outreach organizations collected equipment and supplies.
